Kapaleshwara Mahadev temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the oldest temple in Nasik, located on the serene ambience of the sacred river Godavri that can be reached by climbing 50 steps. The unique feature of this 600 year old temple is that there is no idol of Nandi bull in front of Lord Mahadeva. Pilgrims gather here in large numbers during the festive occasions of Shivratri and also on Shravani Somvar.
