Shri Ram Temple/ Ramtek Fort Temple
 

Shri Ram Temple known by various names such as Ram Mandir, Ram Dham and Ramtek Fort Temple is located on the Ramgiri Hill at Ramtek, about 50kms northeast of Nagpur. This historical temple, constructed atop the hill at an elevation of 345 metres from land is believed to be more than 600 years old and is dedicated to Lord Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana. At the foot of Ram Temple, there is a big tank, Ambala talab which is used for Pitru Pooja (i.e immersing the ashes of the dead). The main attraction of the Ram temple is the celebrations and religious activities held here on the auspicious occasion of Ramnavmi. Besides Ram temple, 27 Brahmanical style temples can also be found on the hill. 

Ram Temple is renowned for its unique OM structure, located at the foot of Ramgiri hill. Measuring 350 feet long, 10.5 feet high and 11 feet wide, this structure is beautifully adorned with picturesque description of Ramayana, Krishna Leela and idols of Lord Hanuman, Sai Baba and Gajanan Maharaj.
