Hubli airport is located 8 kms from city towards south west of Hubli and
20 kms from the centre of Dharwad. The airport is connected to Bangalore,
Mumbai and Hyderabad by direct flights. All regular flights from the airport
are operated by Kingfisher Airlines. Hubli airport is capable of handling
ATR-42 and ATR-72 flights and has night landing facilities.

Being the headquarters for South Western Railway Zone and the Hubli Railway
Division, Hubli serves as an important centre for the Indian Railways.
Hubli Junction Railway Station (code : UBL) is the major rail junction
on the Mumbai to Bangalore route and is connected to all the metro cities
of India. It has daily trains to Gadag, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Solapur, Bellary,
Belgaum, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vijayawada,
Mysore, Tirupati and weekly services to Chennai, Howrah and Thiruvanantapuram.
Some of the important trains passes through the station are Ajmer Express,
Hubli Passenger, Haripriya Express, Chalukya Express and Jan Shatabdi
Express.

Hubli, located on the NH4, has a prominent place on the road network
of South India and is connected to all major towns and cities of Karnataka
and the nearby state. Hubli bus stand is located about 5 kms from the
city centre on Gokul Road also known as Airport road. From here, daily
bus services are available to Mumbai, Pune, Belgaum, Kolhapur, Dharwad,
Hospet, Shirsi, Bhatkal, Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore and Goa. Inter city
transportation facilities are provided by NWKRTC (North West Karnataka
Road Transport Corporation), NEKRTC (North East Karnataka Road Transport
Corporation) and KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation). There
are also many private bus operators who render services for overnight
travel between Hubli and Bangalore, Mangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad.
