The famous Kittur Rani Chennamma circle more renowned as Traffic Island is located in the heart of Hubli city near the old bus stand. Eight roads meet at this traffic junction.  The statue of Rani Chennamma popularly known as Kittur Rani Chennamma is erected here in memory of her bravery. Rani Chennamma was the first woman independence activist of India who stood all alone with a courageous mind against the British Empire. Surrounding the circle, there is a beautiful lawn.
