Siddharoodha Math, located 2 Kms away from hubli is an important religious institution - a centre of Advaita philosophy. It is at this math, that Swami Sidharoodha  preached his philosophy to the disciplines. Born in the year 1836, Sidharoodha  Swami visited Hubli in 1877. He visited the Samadhi Mandir of Shri Chidgananand Swamy in 1882 and then resided there. It is said that this Samadhi Mandir was built during the period 1897- 1907. Siddharoodha Math is believed to be the last resting place of Siddaroodha Swamy who went in to Samadhi in 1929. The math houses a marble statue of the Swami.
