Air : 
At present Hassan does not have its own airport but an airport is under construction which is supposed to be completed by 2015 at Bhuvanahalli village, about 10 km east of the city. The nearest airports to the city are at Bangalore (187 kms), Mangalore (160 kms) and Mysore (115 kms). From these airports one can take flights to major destinations in India like Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai etc.

Rail : 

Hassan railway station (Code : HAS), situated 2 km east of the city, is one of the major railhead of the state connected with Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Shimoga and Arsikere by regular trains. Mysore junction railway station, 113 km towards south and Bangalore junction railway station towards east are the two main railway stations near Hassan.

Bus :
The bus terminal in the city is located close to the railway station. There are semi deluxe and fast passenger services to Belur, Halebid, Shravanbelgola, Bangalore and Mysore. Both public (KSTDC) and private bus operators have tour packages.
