Established in 1977, the District Museum of Hassan stores and exhibits a great collection of archaeological antiquities of the city and other parts of the state. The exhibits of this small museum include old sculptures, paintings, weapons, coins, woodcarving, stone and bronze inscriptions, etc. Located at Maharaja Park, it remains open to the visitors from 9 am to 5 pm except on Mondays and gazetted holidays.
