Baidynathdham or Babadham is a famous Hindu pilgrimage center located at Deoghar. The Baba Baidyanath temple complex consists of the main temple of Baba Baidyanath (Lord Shiva) where the Jyotirlingam is installed, and 21 other temples. In Shrawan month, huge number of devotees come on foot from all over India to pay homage to Lord Shiva. The main ritual of this temple is the offering of the holy water of river Ganga (from Sultangaj about 100 km far from Babadham) on the Kamna or Jyothir Ling. This ritual is held throughout the year especially on Monday of every week.
