Ranchi University situated at Shaheed Chowk has a museum in its Anthropology
department. The museum established in 1974, consists of ethnographic
collections of central Indian states and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and
exhibits prehistoric implements, stone sculptures, terracotta's, numismatics,
several images, coins, inscriptions, manuscript, comprehensive picture
of peoples lifestyle and social structure.Guide services are available
for the visitors. Museum opens from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. Closed on Sundays
and University holidays.
