Ambaji Temple
The ancient Ambaji temple, dedicated to Mother Goddess is located at the city
center. It is believed that Maharaj Shivaji had came here to offer prayers to
Ma Ambaji after winning a war. On Dusshera, a rathyatra is held here with beautifully
decorated four raths (chariots) that is run by the people and the idol of Ma
Ambaji is kept on a silver rath. Ma Ambaji's ratha yatra which is run
by the people is conducted on every dussehra and it provides a beautiful
sight. The Rath Yatra is marked by a procession of 4 decorated chariots adorned
with flowers and garlands and the goddess idol is placed on the chariot which
is fully decorated with silver colour. The occasions like Navratra, Navchandi
yagna, Sahastra chandi yagna, Annakut, Shreebhog, diya darshan (deep darshan), Chosath
khand are also celebrated with much pomp.

Ambika
Niketan Temple
The beautiful Ambika Niketan Temple located on the bank of Tapi River was built
in 1969 by a devotee, late Smt Bharati Maiya. Goddess Asthabhuja Ambika is the
presiding deity. The temple also has mini shrines dedicated to Ram Sita, Laxmi
Narayan and Lord Shiva.
Shri Agam Mandir
Established by the inspiration of the Jain saint Acharya Shri Anandsagarsuriji
Maharaj Saheb, Shri Agam Mandir is supposed to be the biggest among the 6-7
Agam temples in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavir Bhagwan. Apart
from the main deity, idols of Shri Adeshwar B hagwan and Shri Parshwanath Bhagwan
can be seen. The temple walls are adorned with Jain inscriptions on copper sheets
called Dharm Agams.
