BAPS Swaminarayan Temple
BAPS Swaminarayan Temple Located on the Kalawad Road in Rajkot, the temple is a magnificent structure built in pink stone and marble during1998-99. It follows the Swaminarayan Sampradaya founded by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and belongs to the Vaishnav tradition which is a form of Hindu religion. The 'mandir' (temple) has been built according to the Ancient Vedic shilpashastra techniques and no cement or concrete has been used in the construction. Besides Ambaji marble, Makrana marble and Udaipur pink marble has also been used in the temple building. The pink stone used for construction has been brought from Bansipahadpur in Rajasthan and is similar to the stone used in Akshardham at Gandhinagar. The first shrine has an idol of Harikrishna Maharaj which is a 'panchdhatu murti', made from an alloy composed of five metals. Besides there are idols of Lord Krishna and Radha made in marble. The Central shrine in the temple has idols of Lord Swaminarayan, Mul Akshar Gunatitanand Swami and Gopalanand Swami all made of marble. The third shrine has a marble idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj. The shrines in 'pradakshina' has marble idols of Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj, Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj.  

The Swaminarayan Sanstha is actively involved in many philanthropic activities like running of schools, medical care, education care, social work, work related to welfare of women, relief work during natural calamities, tribal care etc. It is also active in imparting spiritual, moral and cultural education and has been instrumental in providing financial aid for many developmental activities in the city as well as other places.

Sri Ranchhoddas Ashram

The ashram of Sri Ranchoddas Bapu is situated on the Kuvadava Road. Many believers visit this ashram especially on Thursdays. The ashram is involved in humanitarian activities along with spiritual activities in that it has a charitable trust which runs a hospital for the blind.

Ramkrishna Ashram

Ramkrishna Ashram is the second, most important place for the followers of Swami Vivekananda after Kolkata. It is a branch of Belur Mutt, West Bengal built on the land donated by Late Shri Dharmendrasinhji, the then king of Morbi state. The Ashram has various activities and it strives to teach and spread the gospel of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. Regular prayers, worships, meditation and religious discourses are held in the Universal Sri Ramakrishna Temple (Jagat Mandir) and people can take part irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

Jagat Mandir
Jagat Mandir Located on Yagnik Road, Jagat Mandir or Universal Temple is a beautiful temple carved in red stones built in 1934. The temple is dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa and the main shrine or Garbha Griha houses a white marble image of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna sitting on a Lotus Vedi. The Vedi as well as the image are the exact replica of the ones at Belur Math. It is a modern structure embodying the spirit of different religions - Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism. The temple is 168ft long and 60 ft wide and 100ft high at its highest point. Aarti is held at the temple in the evening at 7.25 pm.

Iswariya Temple

This small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is situated on the outskirts of Rajkot near Madhapar village on Jamnagar highway.  The 'shiv ling' worshipped here is believed to be Swayambhu. A small fair is organized here every year. It is a place blessed with abundant natural beauty and a famous picnic spot on account of the hilly terrain.

Mukti Dham

Spreading over an area of 12,000 yards, Mukti dham is an electric crematorium located in Ramnath para area on the banks of the river Nyari. What makes this place special is that it is not just a place for cremation of dead bodies, but something more. It was conceived by Architect Vinod Makhesana who received the Journal of Indian Institute of Architects 2003 Award for its design.

The entrance to the crematorium is known as the Pearl Gates. These are carved out of Red stones by Orissa sculptors. The crematorium has provisions for two electric pyres where the funeral proceedings are carried out according to Hindu ideologies and customs but the pyre is lit using electric supply. It also has a conventional crematorium where wood logs are used for cremation.

Mukti Dham has a library which houses books on spiritual and religious topics and can be read by the visitors. It has three Umbrella rest points which shelter the visitors from heat and rain. The pillars of umbrella rest points are decorated with statues of deities. Besides there are paintings and sculptures which depict various mythological events. There are step gardens in Mukti Dham which adds to the beauty of the place with its colourful flowers and tender shrubs. The place also has an air-conditioned prayer hall which can accommodate up to 200 people.

There is a Satsang Bhavan with statues of Lord Sri Krishna, Sri Ghansyam Maharaj and Sri Mahavir Swami. There are 25 mini temples on the perimeter of the Satsang Bhavan. The place also has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Panch Nath Mahadeo Temple

This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the oldest temples in Rajkot. It was founded in 1933. Thousands of devotees throng the temple premises everyday. The Shiv Maha Puja held during the month of Shravan is one of the important events of the temple.

Asharamji Bapu Ashram

One of the Ashrams founded by Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu. Besides spiritual activities, they are involved in educational, medical and humanitarian activities. There is Sai Lilashahji temple and Maun Mandirs (Temple for Spiritual Practices) which provide willing aspirants to stay in complete seclusion and peace for seven days for males. Timings of Pujas : Morning 5:00 to 5:25 Aarti, 11:45 to 12:30 Dhyan Sandhya Guruwandna, Evening 6:45 to 7:30 Sandhya Aarti, On Sundays Paduka Pujan (Satsang, Prasad) is held
