Burha Talab
Burha Talab is the largest lake in the Raipur city. The name
literal means aged (burha) lake (talab). The beauty of this lake is enhanced
by the presence of an island in its midst. The island has numerous trees and
gardens.
Maharajabandh Lake
This lake built by Maharaja Roadrani in 1770 is located in Raipur. Raja Talab
was also built by him.
Kho-Kho Lake
Another prominent Lake in Raipur is the Kho-kho lake. The lake
is an example of formation art.
Budhapara Lake
The spectacular Budhapara lake is one of the major tourist
destination in Raipur. The lake was built around 1402 by the Kalchuri emperor
King Brahmadeo.
