One of the eleven wildlife sanctuaries of Chattisgarh, located in Kabirdham
district at a distance of 140 km from Raipur and is named after
the famous Bhoramdeo temples. The flora is composed of Sal, Saja, Teinsa,
Kara and Haldu species. The fauna is made up of wild animals like leopard,
hyena, fox, bear, cheetal, wild buffalo, nilgai etc. The river Sakari
which flows through the sanctuary is the source of drinking water for
the wild animals.
Best time to visit : November to march
How to reach : The nearest town is Kawardha. It can be approached by road
from Raipur(140 km). Raipur is also the nearest airport.
