The five day long vibrant Deccan festival, which usually begins on 25th of February reflects the tradition and culture of the Deccan area. Also known as Hyderabad festival, it is conducted by the Tourism Department of Andhra Pradesh. The festival is the venue for hosting cultural shows, which include Ghazals, Qawalis, Poetry etc. and exhibitions. Various renowned singers and dancers are invited here to perform during the festival. Other highlights of the festival are the arts and craft shops and the food stalls that offer delicious items exclusive of both Andhra and Nawabi cuisine.
