Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD)

Duration: 4 year Eligibility: Higher secondary and below 25 years of age

Specialization in the following disciplines: Product design, Graphic design, Textile design, Furniture design, Animation film design, Exhibition design, Ceramic design, Integrated programme in Textile & Apparel design

Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (PGDPD)

Duration: 2 1/2 years; Eligibility: Graduation and below 25 years of age 

Specializations: 
Textile Design: For those having Graduation in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Home Science

Apparel & Accessory Design: For those having Graduation in Fine Arts, Applied Arts or Graduates with proficiency in drawing and garment construction.

Product Design: For those with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Architecture

Furniture Design: For those with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture and Interior.

Ceramic Design: For those with Graduation in Fine Arts, Architecture, Engineering and Ceramic or Enamel Technology.

Animation Film Design: Graduates with proficiency in drawing and painting.

Film & Video Communication: For Graduates in any discipline with a proven inclination to creative expression and/or visual and communication arts with an insight into marketing and social communication needs.

New Media: For graduates in any discipline with basic competency in software related to Multi Media/New Media/ Convergent Technologies

Selection: Admission test is held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi in January. Candidates selected are called for a one-day workshop and interview in April/May.

Other Post Graduate Diploma Programmes offered:

Interactive Media: For Graduates with at least one year design experience in the area of Multi-media.
Duration: 2 year

Accessory Design: For Graduates in Apparel, Textile, Product and Furniture Design. Those with three year diploma in Accessory and Furniture Design with at least one year experience can also apply.
Duration: 1 1/2 years

Design For the Less Abled: For those holding professional diploma/degree in design. Those with a Design Development/Technology background with at least three years experience can also apply.
