Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (K-MAT) is a common entrance test conducted
by the Karnataka Private Postgraduate Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) for admission
into MBA and MCA Programs offered by affiliated colleges of various Universities
in Karnataka. The test is mandatory to fill the seats under management quota
and is open to students throughout the country.
K-MAT is conducted every year generally in the month of June/ July and is
permitted by the Government of Karnataka. The State Government has fixed a
50:50 ratio for sharing MBA and MCA seats with the private college managements.
The Government's share of seats will be filled through a common entrance test
conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
