Eligibility

  • 5-year integrated B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) - To be eligible for admission, a candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School / Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent recognised by the University with 50% marks in the aggregate and be less than
    20 years of age of as on 1st July, of the year of admission (22 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 25 years in case of persons with disability). Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also appear for the test on condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of intewrview. Only those candidates who secure the minimum prescribed marks at the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) qualify for inclusion in the Merit List.

  • LL.M. (Master of Laws) - To be eligible for appearing in the entrance test to the two year LL.M. Degree Course, a candidate should have passed the LL.B. / B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% of marks in the aggregate. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can appear for the test on condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of interview

  • M.Phil. (Master of Philosophy) - The candidate shall have an LL.M. Degree either from NALSAR or from any other recognised University, securing not less than 'B+' grade or an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent.

  • Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) - To be admitted to the candidature for a doctoral degree an applicant shall have:

    (i) obtained a master's degree in Law of any recognised University securing not less than 55% marks or its equivalent in grade or
    (ii) obtained a master's degree in Law of any recognised University with 50% marks or its equivalent in grade and have had atleast five years full-time teaching/ judicial/ professional/ administrative experience in the subject in a recognised college/ University or
    (iii) obtained a degree in Law and MPhil in Social Sciences or Humanities or Sciences of any recognised University with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent in grade or PhD in any discipline or
    (iv) obtained a degree in Law and MPhil in Social Sciences or Humainities or Sciences of any recognised University with 50% of marks and have had atleast five years full time teaching/ judicial/ professional/ administrative experience in the subject in a recognised university/ College.

  • Proximate Education - A candidate desirous of seeking admission to PG Diploma in Patents Law, Cyber Laws or Media Law should have a Bachelor's degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Those seeking admission for PG Diploma in International Humanitarian Laws should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent and should have atleast two years experience.
