BA. LLB - Admission to the First Year of the 5-year B.A., LL.B.(Hons.)
degree programme is made strictly on merit, based on the Common Law Admission
Test (CLAT).
The total number of seats available for the LLB course is 80 of which
70 are filled on the basis of Common Law Admission Test. Of these 70 seats,
15% (11 seats ) are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% (5 seats) for ST candidates,
30% (horizontal) for Women candidates and 3% (2 seats ) for Persons with Disability.
The remaining 10 seats are allotted to Foreign Nationals i.e candidates possessing
citizenship of country other than India.
LLM - Admission will be granted based on Common Law Admission Test
(CLAT) and interview. The duration of LLM course is 2 years and each year
comprises two semesters. The candidates can choose their area of specialization
from among Human Rights, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Law, Corporate
Law and Governance (including International Business), Insurance Laws, Constitutional
Law, Criminal Law.
The number of seats available will be 60 subject to SC (15%), ST (7.5%)
and disability (3%) reservations. There is no separate quota for foreign students.
Foreign Nationals : In both the cases of B.A LL.B. and LL.M.,
foreign students are exempted from taking the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
They will be admitted directly on the basis of their performance in qualifying
examination, overall academic record and proficiency in English language.
All foreign candidates must apply directly to the Registrar, NALSAR, Hyderabad
in the prescribed application form with all supporting documents.
M.Phil.- The admission is based on merit as determined on the
performance of the candidates, at the interview and
presentation of research proposal, to the Admission
Committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor for the
purpose.
PhD - The university has provision for both full time PhD and part-time PhD.
Enrollment for PhD is normally full time wherein the candidate will have to
put in a minimum of two-years residence of which 18 months shall be in the
university. Three years is the maximum time that a candidate can avail for
completion of work and its submission for evaluation.
For part-time candidates time available for completion of work and
submission for evaluation will be a maximum of 5 years. The enrollment will be
deemed to have lapsed after a period of 3 years for full time candidates and 5
years for part time candidates. Granting of any extension period will be based
on the research Committees discretion.
Proximate Education - Candidates intending to enroll can request
for the application form and information handout from the Coordinator after
payment of requisite fee by Demand Draft. The duration of the course shall
be a period of one academic year.

obtained by post by sending a demand draft for the requisite amount of fees
to the address mentioned by the university. For LLB course it can also be
obtained from main branches of Indian Bank at select centres on payment of
the requisite fees.
