Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for LLB and LLM is conducted in the month of May, every year.

B.A LLB Entrance :
The test will be of 2 hours duration and carries a total of 200 marks. There is no negative marking and the paper contains objective type of short answer questions of a standard expected of 10+2 students with the following break up of marks.
1. English - 40 marks
2. General Knowledge - 50 marks
3. Mathematics - 20 marks
4. Legal Aptitude - 40 marks
5. Logical Reasoning - 50 marks

LLM Entrance : The entrance test for LL.M. is held along with the entrance test for the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) The paper will consist of four sections, each carrying 50 marks.
The first section is intended to test the competency in English Language. All questions will be objective type. Only when a candidate scores 25 out of 50, his/her paper will be further valued. In the second section, the student will be asked to write short-notes on various topics having a bearing upon law. In the third section, the student will be asked to write a short essay on one of the topics in Indian Constitutional Law. In the fourth section, the student will write a short essay on one of the topics in Jurisprudence.

Foreign Nationals : 
NRI Candidates / NRI sponsored Candidates must write the CLAT examination. While filling up the application form, the candidates will have to mention the category as NRI / NRI Sponsored only. If the candidate is selected in the Merit List, the candidate will be admitted based on the Merit only.
In case of NRI Sponsored - along with the application form, there is a separate form to be filled by the candidates.
