Educational Qualification
B.E/B.TECH : The applicant must have passed at the H.S.,
(10+2) Examination or equivalent conducted by and Govt. recognised Board/Council
with 45% marks for General candidates (40% marks for SC/St) in the subjects
Physics, Chemsitry and Mathematics taken together and with 30% marks in English.
M.B.B.S./B.D.S: The applicant must have passed at the
H.S. Exam (10+2) or equivalent conducted by any Govt. recognised Board/Council,
with English, Vernacular (or any other fifth subject), Physics, Chemistry and
Biological Sciences. He/She also has to pass the subjects of Physics, Chemistry,
Biological Sciences and English individually, having obtained a minimum of 50
percent marks (40 percent for candidates belonging to SC/St) in Physics, Chemistry
and Biological Sciences taken together at the qualifying exam.
Pharmacy.: The applicant must have passed at H.S. (10+2)
Examination or its equivalent from a recognized University /Board with 45% marks
for General candidates(40% marks for SC/St) either with Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics or with Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences taken together
and with atleast 30% marks in English.
Ayurvedacharya/Physiotherapy/ Homeopathy/ Unani: The applicant must have
passed at the H.S. (10+2) Examination or equivalent, conducted by
any recognised Board/Council with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences
and Vernacular or any other 5 th subjects.
Nursing : The applicant (only female candidates) must have passed at the H.S. (10+2) or equivalent Examination recognized by West
Bengal University of Health Sciences with 50% marks for General candidates (40%
marks for SC/ST) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences
and English taken together and have to pass the subjects of Physics, Chemistry,
Biological Sciences and English individually.
Age Limit :
The candidate (both male and female) shall complete the age
of 17 (seventeen) years on or before 31 st December, at the year of admission
Domicile Restrictions x
Candidates shall be citizens of India and either have been
residing in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly/continuously of not less
than 10 years (in case of Nursing, not less than 5 years) immediately prior
to the date of making application for admission, or whose parents are permanent
residents of W.B. having their permanent home address in the State of W.B. In
case of Nursing (H), candidates from any State of India may be considered of admission to non – Government Institutions.
