Eligibility

The Minimum academic qualification to appear in SEE is a pass in (10+2) or equivalent. There is no age limit for admission to the courses covered in SEE-UPTU except Marine Engineering. 

B.Tech
The candidates must have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent with physics and Mathematics as the main subjects and  Chemistry, Biotechnology, computer Science and Biology as one of the optional subjects . All candidates who are eligible for the admission to B.Tech course is also eligible for B.Tech (Agri. Engg) Course. 

For Admission to B.Tech (Marine Engg) programme the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks in total of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with minimum 50% marks in English. They should also submit a medical Fitness certificate from a doctor at the time of counseling approved by the Director General of Shipping as per the  Merchant Shipping rules. The maximum age limit is 20 years as on the admission year. 

B. Pharm
The candidates must have passed the (10+2) or its equivalent with physics and Chemistry  as the main subjects and Mathematics, Biotechnology, computer Science and Biology as one of the optional subjects. 

B.Arch
Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent with mathematics as the main subjects with less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate or equivalent . The candidates possessing three year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central Govt./ State Govt., provided the candidates passed the Diploma Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, are also eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch. 

B.Tech, Agriculture
A pass in (10+2) or equivalent with agriculture as the discipline is must for getting admission to B.Tech Agriculture. 

B. H. M. C. T
Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline will be able to apply for B.H. M. C. T

MBA/MCA
The minimum academic qualification to appear in SEE-UPTU is a pass or 50% marks in the final examination of three year graduation course and Mathematics as the main subject at 10+2 level. 

Admission to Second Year of B.Tech /B. Phar, ( Lateral Entry)
Lateral Entry of Diploma holders to B.Tech/B. Pharm in third semester (second year) is open only in institutions affiliated to U.P Technical University. Candidates who have passed 3 year diploma from an institution located in U.P with minimum 60% from an institute recognised by the board of Technical Education and whose parents are domicile of UP are eligible for admission to second year in any branch of Engineering except agriculture engg, Pharmacy and Architecture.  Those who have passed 3 year diploma in Agriculture engineering from an institution located in UP with minimum 60% marks are eligible for second year of B.Tech Agriculture. 

For admission to second year Marine engineering, the candidates must have passed 3 years Diploma Course in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical / Electrical and Electronics from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education. The candidates should have obtained minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th Std. or in Degree / Diploma course conducted by recognized Board or any University. They need to submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of counselling from the Doctor approved by the Director General of Shipping (DGS) as per the Merchant Shipping rules. The maximum age limit is 22 years as on the 1st July 2007. They should have obtained minimum 60% marks in Diploma programme, with minimum  55% aggregate marks in the final year of Diploma course.
