The allotment of seats through counselling will be carried out strictly in accordance with the merit of the candidate, order of choice preference given for the seats and availability of vacant seats in the category. Once the seat is allotted to a candidate, no change in the Institution /Branch is admissible. The Central Admission Board (CAB) has absolute rights for conduction of SEE-UPTU and to decide about modalities of admissions and allotment of seats.

Direct Admission to Second Year (Lateral Entry) for Diploma Holders
The eligible candidates seeking direct admission to 2nd year of B.Tech/B.Pharm in Institutions affiliated to UPTU are required to submit the application forms to Registrar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow by the last date. Such seats are limited to a maximum of 10% in addition to the sanctioned intake in different courses at first year level. Direct admission in 2nd year will not be made at institute level and such seats will be  filled through SEE-Counselling. Direct admission to Second year shall not be made in B.Arch./BHMCT/MBA/MCA Courses

Seats under Management Quota
Number of admissions in all courses offered at Govt./Govt. aided Institutions affiliated  to UPTU  will be 100% through SEE-UPTU. But If the State Govt. permits a certain percentage of total seats available in Private Institutions to be filled under Management and / or NRI quota, the same shall be filled up in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the Govt. order. 

Admission to NRI Candidates in first year 
NRI candidates, who possess prescribed qualifications, may get direct admission on 5 percent seats of total intake in Govt. / Govt. aided Institutions, subject to the latest instructions of Govt. of U.P.

If any document/ declaration submitted by the candidate is found to be false at any stage his/ her admission shall be cancelled and he / she may be liable for prosecution under the law. In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction will be limited to Lucknow courts only. 

If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the board specifying equivalent marks, and submit it at the time of counselling. In case, such a certificate is not provided by the candidate, the decision of the Central Admission Board (CAB) regarding his / her eligibility shall be final. 

Counselling
The counselling will be held on the basis of merit / rank obtained in SEE-UPTU. It will be conducted online through internet in two phases. In Phase-I, which will be off-campus on-line, the candidates can exercise their choices at place of their convenience through internet to know about indicative choice allotment at frequent intervals. Phase-II will be ON-Campus ON-Line, where eligible candidates will be required to report at prescribed counselling center for registration and final choice submission.

Online Counselling  will be done at various counselling centres located at different cities in state of UP. The candidate invited for counselling is to report at counselling centre allotted to him/her. The details of online Counselling and list of counselling centres and dates of counselling will be provided to successful candidates with counselling letter.

The candidates called on counselling will be required to come with original certificates of qualifying examination, mark sheet, weightage certificate and category/reservation certificates etc. with one attested copy of each. In case the candidates do not submit the proper category/ reservation certificate in the prescribed proforma at the time of counselling, the advantage of reserved category shall not be provided and they will be treated in General Category.

After allotment of seat the candidates are required to deposit a Bank draft as part of College / Institute fee at respective counselling center within three days of issue of admission letter, falling which the seat allotted will be cancelled. Draft should be drawan in favour of Finance Officer, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, A/C SEE-UPTU payable at Lucknow. Fee deposited at counselling center will be adjusted towards the fee to be deposited at institute / college of admission.
