Admission is strictly based on JEE merit rank and choice of the candidate with respect to Institution and course given during the counseling. No candidate can be admitted to a college on the basis of marks scored in qualifying examination. Candidates will be called for counseling as per a schedule to be despatched along with the Rank Card. During Counseling all certificates in original will be verified. No further verification at college level is required. For records of the college, a set of attested copies of the certificates/ marksheet etc. will be collected during counseling and sent to the colleges.

A candidate selected through the counseling for a course in a college automatically is admitted as a registered student of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, if the college is a constituent / affiliated college of the University. The student receives a Registration number and a University Registration card. Against this Registration card, a student is automatically admitted as a student into the course and the college that he/she is assigned during counseling on payment of balance fees at college level.
Completion of counseling thus completes the admission process except for the payment of balance fee (if any) at the college level.

Each candidate has to pay a counselling fee of Rs.200/- and the same is non-refundable. This amount is payable through an Account Payee Bank Draft in favour of “JEE - (year)” drawn on any Nationalised Bank payable at Bhubaneswar.

A student admitted to a college against a course cannot be transferred to another course in the same college in the First year.

A candidate must demand a receipt with the head wise break up of fees that he/she pays at the college level.

• Diploma Mark sheet (for Lateral Entry of Diploma Candidates)

• +3 Certificate (For MCA & MBA & B. Sc. Lateral entry)

• +3 Mark sheet and +2 Mark sheet (For MCA & MBA B. Sc. Lateral entry)

• Certificate and mark sheet of Diploma in Architecture (For candidates claiming reservation having Diploma in Architecture)

• School/College Leaving Certificate.

• Residential Certificate in the prescribed form.

• Relevant SC/ST Certificate in the prescribed form.

• Green Card issued by Family Welfare Deptt. of Orissa in original for children of Green card holders.

• Relevant certificate of Defence/ Paramilitary service of candidate’s parent/ spouse.

• Any other relevant certificate as mentioned in this Brochure.
