Application Procedure

The application form and the prospectus of the GCET can be obtained from the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, on payment a prescribed fee in cash. Outstation candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form by sending request to 'Managing Director, Goa Education Development Corporation , Mezzanine Floor, EDC House, Dr. Atmaram Borkar Road, Panaji, Goa-403001' along with a DD for said amount in favour of Goa Education Development Corporation, payable at Panaji. 

The prospectus contains the following documents/information:

  • Application Form for GCET (Form A)
  • Application form for Admission for all the courses (Form B)
  • Syllabus for GCET in all subjects
  • A compact disk (CD) containing about 8000 sample questions and answers, for all the subjects included in GCET.
  • A sample Objective Response Sheet (ORS)

Candidates should specify the code correctly in the application form for the center they preferred. Any request for change in choice of papers and /or center selected / allotted shall not be entertained after issue of the admit card. The Admission Committee will allot the examination centers for the candidates according to the availability of the centers and that will be mandatory on the candidate.

Candidates should submit the application form(A) for GCET in person at the Admission center, along with the exam fee as demand draft that is payable to 'Goa Education Development Corporation' and three photographs. The candidates should obtain the photo- admit card from the Admission Committee on the same day itself.  The Application form for GCET shall not be accepted by post or through messenger. 

In case, the schedule of GCET changes, the same shall be notified in the designated newspapers. Telephone enquiries should be avoided, as the candidates themselves will be responsible if the information received by them on telephone proves to be incorrect.
