The entrance test consists of multiple choice object type questions in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics for Engineering, and Medicine entrance exams include
Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates who seek admission to 5-year BArch
course have to appear for an Aptitude test separately, after qualifying the
EAMCET. The aptitude test is conducted at JNTU, School of planning & Architecture,
Hyderabad during September.
EAMCET Entrance Exam is in English and Telegu. Students would be required to
answer 160 questions in three hours with 80 questions from Physical Sciences
and 80 from Mathematics or biological sciences. While the examination for engineering
stream would be from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., that for medicine it would be from
2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
The qualifying marks for Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine
Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is reduced from 48 to 40. Candidate’s name
and photograph will be printed on the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet to
avoid impersonation. Students seeking admission to B.Tech (planning) also need
to qualify in EAMCET. Those submitting online need to scan their signature and
photograph to be placed at the appropriate place. Candidates needing assistance
for submission online could approach the regional coordinator's office.
