How to Apply :
Prospectus can be purchased from NOIDA and Chennai centers. The Prospectus
shall also be available from some selected Axis Bank branches
- Two recent formal passport size photograph (one photograph to be pasted
in the form other to be attached with it).
- The prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from the
institute website. Candidates who submit downloaded application form
are required to enclose DD of Rs. 1500/- The DD should be drawn in favour
of FDDI payable at New Delhi.
- Candidates can apply for more than one programme in a single form.
For applying in multiple programmes candidates have to fill the programme
code in accordance to their preference of programme as given in the
application form.
- Candidates can choose date of his/her choice from among the dates
mentioned in the application form. Maximum efforts will be made to accommodate
on the given date and centre. However due to infrastructure constraints
a candidate may be asked to appear on other dates /centre also.
a) Candidates of PG programmes can apply for other PG programmes only
in the same form
b) Candidates of UG programmes can apply for other UG programmes only
in the same form.
c) If candidates wish to apply for both UG & PG programmes he/she
has to fill two separate application forms. However, all may apply for
short-term programmes.
- Candidates applying under the reserved category (SC/ST/Disabled) must
attach an attested copy of documentary proof signed by the competent
authority, along with the duly filled up application form.
- Candidates applying under exemption for CAT/MAT must attach the relevant
score card along with the duly filled up application form.
Application Procedure for Post Graduate & Under Graduate Programmes:
Eligible candidates will have to undergo an All India Selection Test
(AIST) that consists of a Written Examination, Group Discussion/ Design
Aptitude Test & Personal Interview. Candidates may have option to
choose the date according to their convenience. Written examination will
be conducted in the following cities all over India:

Candidates are required to give four choices in the application form
in order of their preference for examination centre from the above mentioned
list. FDDI would allot exam centre as per availability. No request for
change of date and exam centre will be entertained. FDDI reserves right
to add or cancel the exam centres listed above.
Admit card bearing the address of exam centre and date of exam for written
examination will be sent to the candidates in the second week of May 2008.
Candidates not receiving the admit card by 30th May 2008 may get in touch
with the Training Cell, FDDI for obtaining the duplicate copy of the admit
card. The written test and Group Discussion are conducted in English medium
only.
An all India merit list will be prepared on the basis of the result of written
examination and the short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion,
Design Aptitude Test and Personal Interview which will be held at FDDI,
Noida in the month of June 2008.
Candidates applying for PG Diploma in Creative Designing & CAD /CAM
(PGDCD) and Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (DLGAD),
will have to undergo Design Aptitude Test also.
The short-listed candidates after personal interview will be required to
submit all the photocopies of mark sheets, certificates and also the copy
of medical fitness certificate at the time of admission.
NOTE: Candidate appearing in final year exam would be provisionally allowed
to appear in the Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
However, such candidates are required to submit mark sheet of final year
at the time of admission. In case candidate fails in the final year exams
his/her admission would be cancelled.
The results will be published in FDDI website
Procedure for Short Term Programmes:
Admission in short-term courses is offered on the basis of screening of
applications and personal interview in the Institute. |
