Eligibility :
B.A. LL.B. Programme : 10 + 2 Examination or equivalent with
not less than 50% marks (students taking qualifying examination in March
/ April 2008 are also eligible to apply).
Age Limit : Below 20 years as on 1st July 2008 (22 years in case
of SC/ST candidates)
Post-Graduate Programmes (LL.M) : Candidates should
have secured a LL.B. degree or its equivalent from a recognized University,
having obtained not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
Test Pattern : The test paper will consist of 5 Sections
with objective type questions only.
Test Centers : Apart from the seven National Law Schools
at Bangalore , Hyderabad , Kolkata, Raipur , Bhopal , Gandhinagar, Jodhpur
, the test centres for CLAT would also be set up in Delhi , Chennai ,
Cochin , Mumbai, Chandigarh , Shillong, Jammu , Guwahati, Patna , Jaipur,
Lucknow and Bhubaneshwar.
Admission Procedure :
a) Off-line : i) Printed application forms along with
the brochure will be available at the designated branches of the Corporation
Bank and State Bank of India against the payment of Rs. 2,000/- only (inclusive
of test fee and bank charges); ii) Request for applications may be sent
to the Convener, CLAT, National Law School of India University, Bangalore
- 560 242, with a demand draft for Rs. 2,000/- drawn in favour of the
Convener, CLAT, and payable at Bangalore. iii) Applications can also be
downloaded from the CLAT website. The downloaded application along with
the DD and other enclosures should be sent to the Convener, CLAT at the
address mentioned above.
b) On-line : For online submission of applications,
visit CLAT website. The completed and printed Online CLAT 2008 application
form along with DD for Rs. 2,000/- drawn in favour of Convener, CLAT along
with the enclosures should be sent to the Convener, CLAT at the above
address.
