Duration : 24 months
duration include basic practical training on board fishing vessels out
at sea.
Qualification:
(i) Essential: Pass in 10 th Standard (SSLC) or equivalent examination
(ii) Desirable: One year fishing experience. (iii) Age: 17 to 20 years
as on 1 st August 2008 candidates born between 01.08.1991 and 31.07.1988
(both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Upper age limit is relaxable
to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates by 5 years.

Admission Procedure :
Prospectus and application forms can be had by post from Director, CIFNET,
Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi-682016 OR Deputy Director, CIFNET Unit, 59, S.N.
Street, Royapuram, Chennai - 600 013 OR Deputy Director, CIFNET Unit,
Beach Road, Visakhapatnam - 530 001 on payment of application fee of Rs
50/- (by Demand Draft only) drawn in favour of Sr.Administrative Officer,
CIFNET payable at Kochi-682016 with a self addressed stamped (Rs. 10)
envelope, upto 2nd June 2008. However Application forms can be obtained
in person from the Institute HQ at Kochi and Units at Chennai/ Visakhapatnam
at the above address upto 9th June 2008.
Filled applications with necessary particulars should reach the Director,
CIFNET, Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi-682016 .
Duly filled application submitted or sent to the Unit offices of CIFNET
at Chennai and Visakhapatnam will not be accepted. Applications sent through
Fax or E-Mail also will not be treated as valid and will be rejected.
Application can also be downloaded from the website.
In take to Visakhapatnam Unit will be subject to the final decision of
Competent Authority. |
