Applications are invited for Bachelor degree in Fishing and Nautical Science (BFNSc) - Affiliated to Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kochi for the session 2008-09

Last Date of Issue of application form : 21st May 2008  Last date of Receipt of filled in application : 23rd May 2008  Entrance Test (at CIFNET, Kochi) : 8th June 2008  Date of Interview : 21st July 2008  Date of commencement of the course : 23rd July 2008

Admission Details : Eligibility : 10 + 2 with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and Science. Duration : 4- year programme (8 semesters) Age Limit: Minimum 16 years and Maximum 20 years as on 1st October, 2008. Intake capacity: 20 seats Selection : Entrance Test, Academic Merit in (10 + 2) and Interview. System of Teaching: Semester system of instruction with theoretical and practical exposure and a special continuous Onboard training on ocean-going fishing vessels in each semester. Application Procedure : Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the Director, CIFNET, Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi – 16, on payment of Rs.250/- (Rs.125/- for SC/ST) by Demand Draft payable at Ernakulam only, drawn in favour of Chief Instructor(Craft & Gear), CIFNET and a self addressed and stamped(Rs.15)envelope (A_ size).
