Manas
Wildlife sanctuary 
This sanctuary lies in the
foothills of the Himalayas, south east of the river
Manas. Visit :
0900-1200, 1400 - 1700. Elephant ride is the best to see the animals
from close range rather than the boat rides. The 3 hour elephant ride
starts from Mothanguri. The simul, khoir, udal, sida, bohera and kanchan are the
common trees in and around the park. The sanctuary is rich with many types of
birds. Otters are commonly seen in the Manas river. Click
